报告题目：Challenges and improvement methods of microbial conversion of agro-industrial wastes into biofuels and biofertilizers

摘要：Development of economical and ecofriendly large-scale biorefinery applications of agro-industrial wastes is a necessity nowadays. The approaching of competitive commercialization and attainment of cheap clean energy sources in the future is thought to be enabled by using agro-industrial wastes. However, the conversion of these wastes into energy requires effective pretreatment and enhancement methods to maximize the production. Thus in our PIFI project, inhibitors mechanism on the microbial cell, the detoxification strategies, microbial strains improvement will be investigated to enhance future investment toward the conversion of agro-industrial wastes for biofuel and biofertilizers production.

三、报告人简介

Abdelhamied Rasmey教授现任埃及苏伊士大学微生物学教授，研究方向为微生物发酵与生物能源生产。曾担任多项管理职务，包括主管教学与学生事务的副院长。曾在中国农业科学院过程工程研究所（IPP）完成 TYSP 项目访问学者研究，现在受中国科研实验室国际人才计划（PIFI）资助与研究所召开合作项目。

Abdelhamied Rasmey教授已发表学术论文 69 篇，其中 46 篇被 SCI 期刊收录；参与 4 项国际科研项目；累计指导硕士研究生 13 名、博士研究生 8 名。
